on being 25

Having a birthday the day after the new year is like getting two fresh starts. I've always loved having a birthday so close to the beginning of the new year. 25 sounds so old though..especially when you look at it as being a quarter of a century old.  So much in my life changed last year. from being engaged, married, new home, new routine, new friends, new everything...! Some days it felt like my life was turned upside down and I craved that old routine so much. But more than not I love the change. I love being a wife o Jacob.  I love waking up beside my best friend every single day. I love how God has worked in my life the last year. I love how he wrote my story, and is still writing it. So grateful for His hand in every small detail.  One can't help but wonder what this year will hold.

Working on wedding planning today..lots of phone calling, texting, searching online...feels so unreal to be planning *my* wedding.  Enjoying every moment of it. Loving that there are only 80 days until our wedding!!!!!

Loving the fact that when I look outside my window there is snow on the ground. I love that so much!

hello 2013

This year started off so unexpectedly and so perfect.  My Jacob asked me to marry him on New Years Eve.  Happiest moment of my life and a dream come true! God has been so good to me in bringing our lives together. I love how God has written our story over the past few years and has now brought us to this. Jacob is everything and so much more then I've ever dreamed of. He's become my best friend and companion over the last few months. I love him so much, and to now think that soon I'll get to spend the rest of my life with him...that someday soon I won't have to tell him goodbye, only goodnight...that I'll get to spend my every waking hour with him.  Excited and happy doesn't say it enough. I'm the luckiest girl in the world! ♥   

Loving the newness of it all. Loving the special-ness of it. Loving the idea that someday soon I'll be his wife. Loving being so incredibly happy! ♥

Oh..did i mention that it snowed New Years Eve?!!

Wishing for cold weather and some snow sooo very much. That's one of my favorite things about Christmas and winter and it doesn't seem right without either of them.  I want to wear sweaters, and have to bundle up all warm to be able to go outside...I want to curl up inside and snuggle with some tea and watch the snowflakes come down. 

I guess until that happens, I'll have to content myself with thinking about it and looking at pretty pictures like these!!

hello december

Loving that December is here. Loving all the sights and sounds that come with this month and season.  

Last year I did a photo a day and posted here, and want to do the same this year.  I love being able to document this month this way. Makes me appreciate it all the more.  

For me though the Christmas season sorta started the end of November.

A walk around the park to look at all the pretty lights.  Although the lights were pretty nice to look at, the company I was with was so much better.

A day of shopping then a Christmas concert.  I love anything with music!

Wedding with a friend at a beautiful venue - loved these doors going into the chapel.

Spent the evening putting up the Christmas tree and decorations.  Loved that I got to do it with my guy.  Being able to enjoy Christmas traditions like this with him has been so incredibly special. ♥

Coffee brought to me at work today by Jacob...I love him so much!!  I think it's neat how most coffee places change up the appearance of cups for the season...so festive, and red! Makes drinking coffee so much more fun ♥

One of my favorite songs so far this season is Home for the Holiday by Sugar and The Hi Lows. Love listening to it over and over.  I've been loving finding lots of new tunes to listen to.  Music is one thing I have going pretty much non stop the month of December.  Would not be Christmas without music.


So loving this month so far, and looking forward to the rest of it so very much!
