last days of summer

I don't want summer to end. This summer has been so special.  Spending the summer beside my husband and best friend has been the happiest thing ever. I don't want the best summer of my life to end yet. I don't want the warm days to end. I don't want the beautiful evenings to go away. I don't want all the pleasures of summer to be over.  I know I'll be addicted to fall once it comes, but for now I'm holding on to the last bit of summer! September I don't want you to come yet!

A day out with my husband and family. Enjoying the incredible sounds and sights of an airshow.  Enjoying my husbands dreams. Soaking up the sun. Soaking up the noise. Soaking up the stories and history of those airplanes. Treasuring every moment with the guy I get to spend my life with. Learning to love these airplanes like he does.

 A long walk at the end of the day...exchanging thoughts with my sister. Enjoying the beautiful countryside - so grateful that I can see it and enjoy it.  Reflecting back on the day... my favorite moments, favorite words, missing someone awfully bad, wishing I could re-live part of my day. If only I could see ahead what consequences and effect my words and actions will have before they're said and done. Grateful for a new day tomorrow - a tomorrow with no mistakes in it yet. Another chance to live, love and enjoy this beautiful life that I don't deserve.  And tomorrow means being back with my husband.  

And that makes my heart so happy ♥

for the love of strawberries

I love strawberry season. It's my very favorite.  I love picking them, eating, photographing and baking with them. Nothing like pink stained fingers from picking. And nothing compares to biting into a fresh picked, sweet strawberry.
