colorado recap

Getting home and looking through all my photos makes me miss it so much and the incredible time I had. Soaked up so much  while there...so much laziness, shopping ( probably too much shopping!) yummy food, fun car rides and just hanging out.

This scenery just gets me every time. Those majestic mountains are just so incredible.  I think I took just a few too many pictures of the mountains.

This was the first trip I'd ever taken with out my camera.  I almost felt lost without at and half way through the trip was kinda mad at myself for not bringing it, but it allowed me to enjoy it in a different way and for the most part I'm glad I did. And besides, taking pictures with a phone is fun too...you get such a different perspective than you do with a camera.

So summer pretty much feels like it's over now. I loved summer - every moment of it, but I'm ready for fall ~ I say bring it on!

Road trip

My poor little blog has been so neglected the past few weeks! So much going on! Although I Love this busy season of life so much, I'm loving the break from it right now. Took a little road trip with my incredible friend to Colorado. Loving it so very much out here! The scenery is ever so pretty and the cooler weather is sooooo amazing! Cant get enough of being outside and soaking it all up. I can't imagine living where you can see mountains when you look out your windows...people are so lucky that get to live out here!

168 Hours: You Have More Time Than You Think.   By Laura Vanderkam -  Takes you through charting out your day to see where exactly you spend your time and lets you see how so much of it is spent on unimportant things or just plain wasted. Very eye opening.

Standing in the Rain by Mirage. I think this will always be my favorite song

Summer evening runs. It's been cooling off a bit in the evening and it's perfect for getting outside and breaking a sweat!

Nieces and nephews here for the week. Their sweet giggles and hugs are enough to make anyone happy!

Fresh basil. So so good. my favorite is fresh basil with noodles, cherry tomatoes and Parmesan cheese. The perfect lunch.

Staying up till the wee hours of the morning with a good book. Something about reading when the house is perfectly quiet - makes the book so much better.

This Tumblr Account. So many beautiful and inspiring images.

ohh vacation....i miss you

I miss vacation.
Getting to spend time on the beach during our little trip in June was pretty much my favorite part of the trip...getting to wiggle my toes in the warm sand, walking along the beach...getting sunkissed...feeling the breeze blow...ahhh I loved that sooo much! To cold for swimming, (so disappointing! ) but still warm enough to enjoy the beach and sunshine, and stare at the pretty water!

I want to go back and forget all about the huge to-do list in front of me waiting to be done..the cleaning that I didn't get accomplished today... forget about the fact that I'm slacking big time in exercising...forget about the cares of worries of life...the loneliness...my chaotic life....pleease can I go back for a day?!

Oh right.  Back to real life.

*sigh*

4th of july

I love the 4th. I love celebrating our freedom. I love laying in the grass watching fireworks in the sky. I love the yummy food. I love parades. I love being with family. I love all the red, white and blue. So grateful for such a happy day of celebrating!

It was pretty incredible.
